The Tassajara bread that I sold at the Rescate Marketplace is still available but I have no place to sell it. I tried the malecon for a couple of weeks, but all I got was a suntan. LOL. If you crave good hearty and healthy bread made with my hands, not a machine, I still bake every week. I also bake cookies, cakes, pies and puddings. Just sent me a message or call me. How much is a loaf of bread ? Is it whole wheat or sour dough ?

A regular loaf pan is 100 pesos. The standard recipe is whole wheat flour, white flour, sea salt, honey or molasses, oatmeal, coconut oil and of course, yeast. The proportion of whole wheat flour to white flour is up to you. The more whole wheat flour, the more likely you are to break a toe if you drop the loaf of bread on it. It's delicious toasted with butter and honey. It's pretty dense to make sandwiches although I often make open faced sandwiches with it. The recipe is from the Tassajara Bread Book and I've been using it for over 50 years. Sometimes I like to add cinnamon, walnuts and raisins. Sometimes I add sunflower seeds. Sometimes I used cardamon and pine nuts. That kind is more expensive because pine nuts are spendy. Tell me what you want and I can bake it. Thank you for asking.

Bobnliz, I asked Chuy if I could sell my bread during the interim while Sal is caring for his wife. He said he didn't want any problems with Sal. Someone else suggested I contact Sal directly and ask his permission so Chuy feels comfortable with stocking my bread. I haven't done that yet. I really can't see what harm it would do because my bread is so totally different than what Sal sells and, I can only produce about 8-12 loaves a week. I'm not willing to bake each day like Sal does. (Still, that extra income makes a difference to those of us on fixed incomes.) I don't want to encroach on Sal's territory, much like I would never start baking and selling anything that my best friend, CeCe Carter, sells. 
I've also taken my bread to Maria's Restaurant to see if they'd like to serve it with their delicious breakfasts. I guess they don't because they've never called.

Sorry, I guess Sal can't handle the competition. So how may I acquire one of your humble loaves? I like a good English loaf with some whole wheat.

I did and received a nice loaf of home made English Country bread still warm from the oven delivered to my door. This morning I ate some of the best French toast I've ever made. Bob
