Hurray!  We're reopening BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, Thursdays and Saturdays.  See the attached flyer.  All donations and proceeds from book sales directly support our spay/neuter clinics.

Who needs something new to read?  Well call Carole Bonhorst for an appointment at the
Altered Tails Book Shoppe tomorrow.  Wear your mask and come stock up on reading material.

Most of the books have been resorted and reorganized and are waiting for you.

As you know SBPA is in desperate need of donations to help support our ongoing free spay/neuter program so come in and buy the entire shop if you want to because every peso will go directly to this weekend's surgeries.

Thanks to Dr. Edgar and his Vet team of angels we have been averaging around 150 surgeries twice a month.  That is a lot of animals being protected from unwanted litters.

Imagine how many pups & kittens that could represent.

It is scary so, please continue to support SBPA if you can.  You are making a huge difference one animal at a time.

Not sure how I can impress upon our community what a difference the SBPA program means. I lived in Guanajuato before moving to San Carlos. It is, of course, a much larger city and I did know and help the one woman who did more than anyone to promote spay and neuter programs. Nevertheless, every block of the city had at least one dead animal. It was so sad to drive anywhere and see sick dogs and cats, even skinny horses. But, the heartbreaker was seeing all the dead ones. How many have I seen here in the nearly 4 years I've lived in San Carlos?  NONE. Thank you, SBPA and all our residents who are such devoted animal lovers.

OK you missed Thursday but you still have tomorrow this week.  Give Carole a call for an appointment and get out there and get some new books to entertain you.

It is the greatest cause:  preventing unwanted litters of puppies and kittens to protect them from becoming abandoned street animals.

No Babies - No Rabies!  SBPA wants everyone in our community to be healthy and happpy.

Please take a moment to read this.

I just learned the Sonora Health Department has not been providing the Rabies vaccine during the COVID pandemic.  I was not aware of this fact and I apologize for my mistake.

So please ignore my comment above.  No Babies-No Rabies.  I posted that in error.

As soon as they begin providing the Rabies vaccine we will again include it with our free spay/neuter surgeries.
