We caught our last marlin around noon on the 31st. There have still been a few seen, but it is looking like we might get a break. It gets complicated running a spread for billfish and yellowtail at the same time. The yellowtail are off and on for all methods and areas. There have been some big ones in very close.
The Island is good but 3/4th of your catch goes to the tax collector Jaws. Some bonita there, but I'm still waiting for a showing in close. There were some Sierra up the coast, and awesome catches of cabrilla. Things look good with weather, tides, temp, bait, and moon for the next 7-10days. Maybe it will turn on to where we aren't saying you should have been here yesterday, and you aren't saying we need to go fishing, and then be a day late. It's going to be a few good months here with better weather. A few boats have looked for yellowfin, but I didn't hear reports back.
It's slow time, but also when the stragglers are around. Contact me if you want to get on a share list, and I'll hopefully get you out there not a day late!

The marlin came back! We caught nine in the last three mornings. Even saw a flying fish!
