Everyone in need of a fishing license... They are being sold by myself (Gustavo) at the Marina San Carlos Office every Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.  If you can´t make it during those hours, please contact me directly. You can pay at any OXXO Store and get it on your email.  Plan ahead for Tournament Season as we don´t know how long I will have the service or when things will go back to normal.

Who needs a fishing license? If you go out in a boat, is it license per boat or individual? Thanks in advance.

By Mexican Regulation, every angler on a Fishing boat needs a license. Only Exceptions are minors under 13 years of age and anyone fishing from the shore.

MTG in case you missed it, he already answered your same question on April 15. He said: By Mexican Regulation, every angler on a Fishing boat needs a license. Only Exceptions are minors under 13 years of age and anyone fishing from the shore.

I wanted to know about charter boat fishing license laws. I live on the other marina and a few of my boat owner friends have told me that you don't need one on a charter because they have a blanket license for anglers who rent their boats (typically tourists). But, maybe the law has changed...like everything else:). So just seeing what others have heard/know.

I think that the blanket license was a farce. Really, you are completely throwing away your money buying a license. They do absolutely nothing. There is absolutely no enforcement. Maybe they occasionally hit up a panga, take their catch, sell it and eat the turtle with their friends. Think of paying a pedophile to go after children. That's really what you are doing by buying a license. Sorry that it doesn't fit your concept of doing the right thing.
