Tomorrow, Saturday, is the opening day of the 2019 Rescate Marketplace season. I speak for my fellow friends and vendors to say we are thrilled to have this venue and to see our friends in this community

I am making a bread with quinoa and, I call it my quinoa bread, of course. I am no longer making the Tassajara bread that is much heavier, although I would make it if you request it. The quinoa bread had been very popular this summer. It is much lighter and can be sliced for sandwiches. It contains white flour, whole wheat flour, quinoa, sea salt, local honey, coconut oil and yeast. I am also making a curried chicken "soup" but it's almost a casserole. For the dessert, I'm making the popular date nut bread that's made with a tiny bit of vodka.

This year I'm asking those who buy the entrees to bring the containers back so I can wash and reuse them. If you'd like to pre-order something you are craving, bring a container and I'll use that. Any recycling suggestions are very welcome.

Estella who sells tamales and other things, CeCe who sells her Key Lime Pies and me are excited to see you tomorrow.
