Tight lines and best of luck to all who participate.

Please remember El Cobijo (Old Folks Home) as well as the Orphanages and the Soup Kitchen.

They will take any and all fish offered.

Thanks

Excellent ideas George - if someone is able to stop by the weigh station, I am sure there will be some fish available - I will gladly share mine!

Save this number.
  226-0785

Call me when you come in.  I have two large ice chests and I will divide the fish as instructed by anyone who wants to donate them.

Cleaned are preferred but nobody is picky.

OK, Yellowtail Rookies, you want to learn with the guys that fish for yellowtail a lot?
Would you want to win a chance to fish with the boats that always catch fish?
Would you like to see the lures, knots, rods and reels, and get a chance to use them?
Would you like to learn where they fish and why?
Would you like to see how a winning team gets more yellowtail in the boat?
What if the 8th Annual Yellowtail Tournament had a "Pro-Am" draw?
You put your name in the hat (no cost!) and the ones that are drawn fish with one of the proven producers; the boats, teams, Captains that are ALWAYS on fish?
If you're one of the lucky ones, you pay only the regular tournament fees (you probably want to be in ALL the jackpots - this is your big chance!), and as a bonus deal for rookie anglers, you only pay the team $100 for your share - most of us pay more than twice that for two days on a top charter boat! Feel free to tip the Capitan if it's the best fishing day you've ever had! Might even be pictures worth framing, and video on the board if you do your part!
Who's been lurking out there waiting for a chance like this? Who's seen all the 20 and 30 pound yellowtail pictures this month and said - "WHY NOT ME?"
Give us an idea so we can see if any boats will open a spot for "The Lucky Ones!"

So far, we have three teams you could draw a chance to fish with; Team Margarita, Team Telamon, and Team Catch 22 IronMen. The drawing will be a double-blind; we will draw an anglers name from one hat, and then draw the name of the team they will fish with from the second hat. Please post here if you plan to try for an anglers spot, or if your team would like to host an amateur angler.

We really need to know if we have any anglers interested in the Pro-Am draw, so the boats offering a spot can save room, or fill out their teams. Please post or send PM by Friday, 2/21 if you are interested. If we don't get any response, we will tell the three bots to fill out their teams with regulars.

I have been asked "what time Friday", so 5PM tomorrow will be the deadline to let us know if you plan to participate in the Amateur Draw.
