The report on our attempt to go to the restaurant at Pilar was four couples & the Twins showed up - we had a nice visit in the parking lot because there was a sign on the door that said closed Saturday & Sunday. We proceeded to a restaurant that was open & had a nice meal. If the people at Pilar are attempting to solicit business, they might try answering their phone.

We went to the upstairs palapa at the Arbolitos - a couple people had steak & the rest had shrimp dishes - the shrimp dishes were excelllent & very abundant - don't know about the steak because they were sitting at the other end of the table but I didn't hear anyone complaining. The Twins came & played for us - nice evening!

Went to Arbolitos upstairs one evening, but the insects were too bad and the traffic fumes and sound level awful. What was supposed to be dorado turned out to be flounder, no more for me.

We went to Arbolitos upstairs today for lunch. It was EXCELLENT. We had a nice breeze, no bugs and excellent food and service. Highly recommend!

The restaurant at Pilar is alive and well. Have had two tasty dinners there this week. They were closed last weekend because the waitress/bartender/you name it was married last Saturday and all the employees wanted to attend. Tomorrow, Saturday, an added attraction is the appearance of Mark Mulligan at 5 PM.

PS We love their slushy margaritas. A pitcher for seventy pesos serves six of us well.
