Well, a lot of dismal reports. Back in the 'good ole' days' from what I remember, the guys would fish their 12 and 14' aluminum boats for a 5-9# yellowtail or two at Social Security because it was too rough or dangerous usually to go around the point. They did it every sunrise to get out of the house/bodega for whatever reasons. Well, now you have radios, gps, your cell phone, and bigger boats and more expensive dock fees, but bigger houses, tvs now, cable, satellite, emails to answer, and probably more chores. Well, whatever.. there are some nice 10-25# yellowtail along the shorelines, so no excuses. Weather looks good and the bite should be on this week. We picked up three yesterday on 30's. One at Deer, San Antonio, and off Lalo's around 25#. My friend caught one 25#+ off the Dolfinario. There have been a few around Doble and the Seamounts. Haystack has had good numbers and up the coast and Island at times.

Just a great lack of boats out there. I'm just saying, don't give up!

Haystack sounds good for trolling. One boat did very good on wire up the coast. Bite times are varying.
