I wish I had the numbers from about 1996 for the ladies fishing tournament but they would knock your'e socks off-----Dorado,Marlin,Sails,and even Tuna were here in abundance but all that has sadly changed because of over fishing by the natives----the 2017 Ladies tournament only boated with 15 or so boats fishing 8 hours a day for 2 days no or one weigh-able Dorado and 4 or 5 big fish --marlin and sails how sad to see the fishing of the beautiful Sea of Cortez go away----last year the Labor day tournament was cut from 3 days to 2 because of lack of sign ups and the lack of fish---- Tournaments are always fun but all the funness is going to have to be in the prep because the fish are not here anymore--- __________________ Tara Solo.

The fish are just showing up around the Cape. It's a late start, so be patient. Things are different, but good catches are coming.
